THING TO DO 

At the campground, you’ll find lots to do. Families can enjoy the heated swimming pool and play volleyball or basketball. Kids can swing and climb on our large playground, the rest of the family relaxes nearby. The Game Room (connected to the store) is a big hit with the older kids and a great place to hang out on rainy days.

MEN
Men are welcome to “Shake at 8”, where the locals and guests alike visit over morning coffee and shake dice at the store. But beware – whoever loses has to buy coffee!

LADIES
The ladies have their time, too for chatting and whatnot. Ladies, coffee, and cards are also held at the store on Tuesday and Friday mornings at 9:00 a.m.

KIDS
Kids will want to be on the lookout for “The Train.” On sunny days, the train has been known to come out and all the kids can hop aboard for a ride around the campground. Keep your eyes open, because you never know when it’ll show up!

Everyone is welcome to take a stroll or bike ride around the campground. You might want to enjoy some quiet time sitting by the Rainy River, watching the pelicans and eagles fly by. And you can always bring the boat for some fishing or your canoe or kayak for a little paddling.

The area around Lake of the Woods also offers a wide variety of outdoor activities for family fun. Spend an afternoon at Zipple Bay State Park exploring the rocky beach and relaxing next to the lake. Or do a little hiking and watch some birds. You can also take advantage of the area’s many boat rentals and fishing guides and catch a walleye or that infamous “Big One.”

If you’re missing a little bit of the “city life”, the town of Baudette offers a variety of shopping, restaurants, a movie theater, bowling alley, health spa, skateboard park and playground. After a fun-filled day, you can relax with your family around the campfire, sharing stories about the day’s great adventures.
